		<description>I had a very similar experience when my post hit #1 on reddit and stayed on Digg for only a few minutes before getting buried.  The redditors had a postive comment thread and brought many thoughtful and intelligent comments to my blog.  Diggers trashed it with insults in their comment thread and buried it immediately -- sign of another cultural divide.  I never used Digg and did not submit there.  I guess what they say about diggers is true.</description>

		<description>Thanks for the analysis!  I&#039;m actually kind of surprised that Reddit has is so Mac-heavy, I would have guessed Digg to have more of them.

I&#039;ll be interested to see how many people stick around.  I just hope I can find enough interesting things to talk about to keep their attention.</description>
